2002 yamaha blaster tires will only spin when its jacked up with no pressure on them, whats the problem?

I have a 2002 yamaha blaster, when i jack up the rear end the tires spin freely but when i put it back on the ground it wont go. The blaster runs fine just wont ride. Any suggestions on what wrong? Thanks
