2002 mercury sable coil pack replaced, but car still hiccups when heat is on; why?

My car about a week ago started hiccuping until it became an annoying problem and the check engine light turned on. Took it to the local repair shop and had a coil pack for the third cylinder replaced. The car now works flawlessly when the heat is off, but if I turn the heat on it starts to hiccup. Is there something actually connected that makes the heater make the engine act up? Maybe a loose plug and not ample enough power from the battery? Or by shear coincidence am i noticing it like this?
 
Sounds like coincidence, if you have a check engine light on take it to a parts store to read the codes. Good luck!!
