If it were in my workshop, I would check the resistance of the Fuel Gauge Sender in the Fuel Tank. judging from that, determine whether the sender is at fault or the gauge in the dash is.
8 times out of 10 it's the sender unit in the fuel tank.
The gas gauge on my 2002 Mazda 626 shows that I have 1/4 to 1/3 of a tank of gas left but then the engine dies. It has done this twice now, any ideas on what the problem could be and what to do about it? Thanks
