I just bought a 2002 lexus is couple days ago. Though this car is overall pretty neat inside and out, the dashboard is pretty scratched up and dinged up from the previous owner. I took it to an autodetailer to get the interior cleaned, but they said the sratches are too deep to remove. I have tried armor-all, etc but seems as though i have to resort to something un-conventional like sanding off a layer..(sounds expensive and unsure) Does anyone know how i can get rid of these scratches myself? Thanks for ur comments...

Besides replacing the entire dash which requires a bit of knowhow, there are vinyl and leather fillers you can get that work fairly well. Chances are you won't be able to exactly match the color, but you can successfully dye the entire dash yourself or have a custom shop do it. If you have the money they can do it all for you for a not terribly outrageous cost.
