Not sure what the problem may be, but when you start driving the first time of the day for the first 5-10 minutes, if you even lightly tap the brake pedal the brakes will lock up and the tires squeal from skidding. I just had all new calipers, hardware, pads, and rotors put on the front about 8 months ago, and they said the rear brakes were ok as well. The Jeep did this even before the calipers and such were put on. This vehicle does not have ABS. Any clue what could be the problem? Several mechanics said that this can be normal for a vehicle without ABS until the brakes get heated up a bit. I feel that it is not normal and a safety hazard because if the road is at all slippery, you end up skidding quite a ways when you try to stop, until the brakes have warmed up. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
