I have a 2002 GC laredo with a v8 and selectrac. This morning while driving to work i felt the slip alittle when going into 1st gear but was fine shifting into the other gears after that. Tonight coming home, I was stopped at a light and when I stepped on the gas pedal the motor just raced and the Jeep would not move. Also, the check engine light went on. Would not go into reverse either. Had to get it towed to my mechanic. He'll look at it tomorrow. Any idea what kind of repairs I am facing? Jeep has 61k miles on it and always shifted perfectly until now. Had fluid and filter replaced at 55K as well. Thanks
