2002 hyundai sante fe or 2003 ford taurus?

i've had my 2003 taurus for 1 1/2 years, spent $800 on repairs last summer on a radiator problem and an ac problem. just spent $450 on all new brakes. has 52k miles. i'm just afraid the problems are going to keep getting worse. i've been wanting a suv. i found a 2002 hyundai sante fe online, it has 78k miles. just wondering how reliable these suvs are. and which one you think is better?
 
so your about to downgrade to a car older and with more miles your going to have to eventually replace the brakes on it as well and you never know whats going to pop up with car maintenance its all about the preventive care and hyundai;s are comparible to suzuki and kia cheap and only good for 100,000 if that
 
You're basically trading one unreliable crap for another.

Get a Honda CR-V instead. I owned a '98 and it was one of the most reliable SUVs I've ever owned, plus got 30MPG.
