I have a 2002 Honda Civic Dx. When it first began misfiring, i had the CEL read, and there was one for random misfiring, one for cylinder 1 and one for cylinder 3. I checked the plugs (brand new E3's) Switched the #2 and #3 coils, looked for bad wires in the engine bay, changed gas 3 times. I had the CEL read again after they were cleared and i had switched the coil packs, and it was the same three, so it's not the coil packs. The kicker is it doesn't happen all the time! it happens more often than not, but there's times you can put as much load on the engine as you want and no misfiring. The misfiring happens sometimes at idle and mostly when put under load, when doing really slow acceleration it won't do it though. What could this Possible be! I've talked to a few mechanics who have driven it and are stunned by how it doesn't ALWAYS happen. Based on their expertise they ruled out besides coils plugs fuel and wiring, injectors and head gasket! Please Help!
