Today i was driving back from lunch to work and was stopped at a red light. All of a sudden smoke (making leaking noise) started to come out of the engine and was visible to everyone parked next to me. Then i noticed my AC light is on but it's not doing anything. I opened up the hood and it smelled weird. I started my car again and turned the AC on, the light would come on but the usual noise of compressor kicking in was missing and no cold air was coming out of the AC vents. just regular air. I live in Austin and it's pretty hot here. Any suggestions before i take it to some mechanic..
