Hi, I have a 2002 Ford Ranger V6 4.0L engine.
Today I changed the oil and after I was done I turned on the car to make sure it was all running right. Everything sounds and went ok. I even drove it around the block and had no issues. After that I had it in park and decided to try and REV it up a bit. As soon as it got to 3 RPM it would stutter and not go any higher. It was as if someone capped the engine at 3 RPM's.
Any ideas on the problem? Is it suppose to be like that when its in park or neutral? I havent tried revving that high with the engine in drive or anything yet.
