no one can find HELP? 2002 Ford Focus wagon automatic transmission with 92,000 miles.
After leaving it sitting for several hours and I start it up and put it in reverse and back out of my driveway, the front passenger makes this very loud knocking noise in 3 second intervals. in drive it does the same thing at like 1 mph. To describe the noise: It is this quite Loud knocking noise and at the end of it I can clearly here a drum noise...Just like the musical instrument--a real drum.
The noise goes away after the car is driven.
Took it to several mechanics and no can figure out why or what is broken.
Any ideas? It's driving me crazy!!
