2002 ford focus shifts hard?helpppp?

i know it prolly isnt good but it shifted really good then all of sudden like over a week started shifting bad and like at 40 mph once its suppose to shift sounds like it goes in nuetral for a lill and revs if u press gass the shifts hard in gear but only sometimes idk it prolly needs a tranny flush cause never been done 84000 mikles

you should check the level of the fluid check it after driving for a bit.. warm it up. also smell it. it shouldnt smell burnt and should be red. it could be low on fluid. they say it should be changed at every 30 thousand miles. This is your fullthrottle shift point right? take it easy on driving it like that for now until you get it checked out. check it for leaks and stuff.

you're right, it needs a transmission flush or maybe it's low in fluid. check it out.
