Why is it when I secure my SUV using the remote that I hear two honks from the horn instead of just 1 that I usually get. I checked all doors and all is closed, even the back window.

I also noticed that when I first get into the car and start the ignition, that lights stay on for a long time, not until I drive a few blocks that the interior light then shuts off.

I also did a test to see which door was open by putting the keys in the ignition and turning it half way, then open one door at a time to see if the interior chime sounds but I hear nothing.

and lastly, when I go to my car to get something out or whatever, and use the remote to unsecure the locks, all lights turn on and thats fine but when I secure it, non of the lights shut off until maybe ten minutes later.

Please help!!

This is completely normal. With my daughter's focus, sometimes there's two, sometimes there's one. I don't know why, but it seems to apply to all fords. As for the lights, you'd have to explain what lights you are talking about (headlights, dash panel lights, door lights, etc.) With the door chime, try turning on the headlights before opening the door. And, finally, with the other lights problem, this is also something my car does also. the lights stay on, in case you're putting something in the trunk or people are getting in. After you unlock it, do what you need to do, and then lock it again, either from the keyless entry remote or from the button on the door.
