The filter is the round style which simply sits inside the box, the duct pulls a small amount of air in in the front bottom, if i were to cut a quarter inch X 4 inch long slot in the front, right behind the hood/bumper would that pull in more air and would it negatively impact the flow or cause my engine light to come on etc.?
