2002 Dodge Intrepid Unresolvable Issue?

I have a 2002 Dodge Intrepid thats been at the shop for over 6 months now. They cannot diagnose the problem, this is my last ditch effort to get my car fixed. The car runs very well for about 20 minutes and when I slow to a stop it bumps hard and when accelerating after the stop RPMs jump way up and the car won't go over 25 MPH. I pull over and put it into park and restart the engine, all is fine. This happens all the time. The brain for the car has been replaced. The sensors have all been replaced. The wiring harness was pulled out and all re-done and still the same issue. The shop says the trans is fine and so it the engine but the issue isn't solved. My guys are stumped and frankly I am ready to set fire to it. Please let me know if you know how to fix this problem, I've seen hundreds of these posts of problems and no answers.

Well if the sensors are working, the tranny is fine, the engine is fine, and the computer is fine, then essentially, the car is fine. So one of those things isnt fine.

Take your car to the dealership. For what you spent in the shop, it would have been cheaper to take it to a Dodge dealership even though the labor is more money.

Sometimes you get defected sensors, it happens. Why hasn't your mechanic subbed out the car yet?

My guess is transmission/computer problem. Take it to a Dodge Dealership and explain the problem. They deal with Dodges all day and only Dodges and know what to expect. Besides, you usually get a convenience car from a dealership.

you know taking it to a dealer now probably wouldn't help you either, you need to try taking it to a shop that does electrical repairs and see if they have ran across a problem on the tcm units on those cars,id bet you its an electrical problem with it ,but finding it can be really difficult, one thing dodge did wrong on all their vehicles was use thinner gage wiring and this has caused many headaches for its owners as well as some top notch mechanics, and the problem your having can even stump a factory trained dodge mechanic, its going to take someone some time to find it though,i had one that i worked on for 2 weeks but i did find the problem ,and was a ten minute fix once it was found, was a small pinch in a wire that wast even visible to the human eye,an ohm meter found the problem.good luck.
