2002 Dodge Caravan headlamp shorted out?

A friend of mine has had this minivan to the Dodge dealer. The left headlamp bulb has been replaced 2 times and still does not come on except when it's raining outside but as soon as everything dries up the headlamp goes off and stays off (at least until it rains again). The dealership has said there's a short somewhere; several hundred dollars later they can't find it and need more time. She can't afford to let them continue looking. It's the only light she has problem with. If you have a suggestion or any other questions about this problem you can leave it here on Answers or email me. Any help is appreciated!
 
Sounds like battery acid intrusion into the wiring harness under the battery possibly.
It is pretty common, the harness will need to be stripped down to find the bad wire.
