What do you think it might be? Do you know of any common problems with this year/ make/ model of this happening?

Of each thing that it could be, how much would you estimate each might cost to fix?

I know lots of questions. But I don't know cars that well, and I think we all know how the economy is right now so the money available to fix it is sort of on the lower end. I just want to be prepared when I head into the repair shop.

Thanks in advance. :)
Also, the sound seems to only be coming from the Driver Side

More than possible, it is a wheel bearing or the ball joint. Both take special tools to repair. I would call around and get the best deal. I would use a shop that use Napa, or Advanced Auto Parts. A body shop that does mechanical maybe cheaper than a dealer. You will also have to have it alighned, this will prevent you from having to do it all over again in 4 or 5 months. And to have it repaired quickly is going to be cheaper than having to ad on a tow bill.

It could be your drive axle is worn. this is normal on front wheel drive cars.

cost for an axle is like $70-$110. labor is about 1 hour per side.

Its the rubber on your wheel making contact will the inside of your wheel well when your turning on a bumpy surface
