How much do you think it should cost to replace my head gasket? Parts and labor

2002 Chrysler Sebring LX Sedan
Dual over head cam...not sure if that matters.
4 cylinders 2.4L engine
 
i agree with steven. your better off to replace the motor because doing a head gasket and having the head machined puts pressure in the bottom end but it depends how many km are on it and is it a 2.7? if it is your in a mess of trouble them motors are basically junk if it is just put another engine in it if its a 3.5 then okay attempt the gasket only if its got around 140K or less if any more than that your taking a risk on the bottom end but hey its your decision
 
lots and lots - smarter to change the engine- ask a mechanic.
around here - V-6 head job on this engine at least $1800 +tax used engine $2200 but with doing the head gasket job this engine will be headed for problems.
