2002 Chevy Impala electrical problem? Hazard lights blink when I dont have them turned..

...on.? I have a 2002 chevy impala. Works great. Except recently at random moments whether I am driving or not driving the car the hazard lights will start blinking reaaallly dim (not at normal hazard brightness) eventhough I dont have the hazards turned on. If I turn my hazards on while this is occuring the lights still blink but become brighter and them back to their "dim blinking" when I turn the hazards off. I have discovered no way to make it stop. It sometimes will make my dash lights blink in synchronization with the hazards too. Ive been driving my impala for about 2 years now and never heard or seen anything like this. I heard there was a harzard lights recall but this occurs on my car when the hazard lights are turned off. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks
 
if there is a recall have it done.....most likely there is a short in the hazard circuit either at eh relay or more likely the common ground with the dash......could also b the switch...

but if there's a recall it may fix the problem....
