I have a 2002 Buick Rendezvous that is in need of a serious stereo replacement! My 6 CD disc changer is jammed and from what I know about this car; It's not worth taking it all apart just to fix that. I have been looking around online and asked around, but not even my dealer has any clue as to what I would need. I have been told by BestBuy employees that I will need a special wiring harness because OnStar is INSTALLED in my vehicle, even though I do not use OnStar. Searching online and around town for the harness however, it's almost like the thing doesn't exist!
So, I have two questions.
1. Do I NEED a special wiring harness to replace the stereo even though I don't actively USE OnStar?
2. If I DO need it, where can I find this rare artifact that must exist SOMEWHERE?
