I changed the air filter today and ended up having to remove that one part that connected to the air filter housing. Undid the two sensors and disconnected the plastic hose, tube or what ever it's called.
When I went to put everything back together I noticed the plastic tube wasn't connected at the other end. Not the end that went back into that part the connected to the air filter housing.
So my question is what is that plastic tube for and where does the other end connect to?
"It's part of the PCV system, it lets filtered air in one valve cover, through the engine and out the other just on the other side of your throttle body. This is important as if you don't have it you'll suck unfiltered air into the engine."
So the other side doesn't connect to anything?
"It goes into a rubber grommet in the top of the rear valve cover."
OK anyone know of a picture that shows where it's located because I can't find it.
