2001 Mercury Cougar Turn Signal?

I have a 2001 Mercury Cougar and I have been trying to fix it myself but nothing has seemed to work. The turn signals on the right side of the car don't turn on. The light on the inside doesn't light up when I use the blinkner lever. When I turn the hazard lights on only the left side turns on. I tried replacing the entire mulifunction switch but the problem still persists. What else can I try?
