2001 Lincoln LS V8 electronic cut-out exhaust....?

I have a 2001 Lincoln LS V8 Base and I'm looking at getting an electronic cutout exhaust/electronic dump/etc. and I was wondering if there was any extra work that had to be done in addition to installing the cutout. I heard I might have to get my ecu setup for the extra airflow when I open the butterfly valve on the cutout.
