Hi All
My mom's Grand Cherokee 4.7 power-tech has apparently dropped a valve seat. We have determined with a compression tester which one it is(think it was number 4 ) That's all fine and well as i have done this job on another Power-tech before successfully. My question to all you jeep experts is are there any after market heads available for the 4.7? Maybe with a better designed valve seat. Im damned to do this freeking job ever again on this vehicle. I have done extensive searching and have had no luck.
Oh and before you tell me the car was overheated (granted its entirely possible as the car was bought second hand), I owned a 2002 model Grand Cherokee from NEW ........I babied that car ran perfectly and never overheated it even slightly, and it dropped on even less mileage (about 60 00 miles ) I have spoken to many a jeep technician and other jeep owners and they confirm this is a common problem with the power-tech. Im so not amped to do this job
help would be appreciated
Regards Dale
