You most likely need to connect your Crank position sensor you
disconnected while attempting your repairs or you have a bad CPS
The Connector is at the rear of the valve cover. It should be a 3 wire weather pack connector. Most likely you'll need a pro for this repair
as the sensor can be accessed from underneath the vehicle and you need a Long extension and have it on a lift to access it. It should be diagnosed. Go to IATN.NET for a drivablilty expert near you make sure they
are ASE L1 certified. All others are parts hangers and hopers. The sensor is mounted on the bell housing at 11 o'clock position.

p0340 camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction.
the computer does not know when to fire the injectors or the plugs.
replace that sensor and reset the cpu and it should start.

you say you smell gas? it might be the fuel pump regulator letting too much gas pour into the injectors. if you had a good 1 laying around you could try it and if it starts then, buy a new 1.
