So i recently bought a 2001 Honda Civic EX 2 door coup. It has a v tech motor. But suddenly, while i was driving it started to decrease in speed. At first , the car wouldn't move past 20-25 MPH , but now it wont go past 10 MPH. It seems like it wouldn't go into the next gear. But ALSO, it will run good for about 10 minutes, after those 10 are up, the car goes back to normal and not shifting correctly! If i turn the car off for about 2 minutes and turn it back on, it starts working good again. What can it be!? people are telling me the transmission, others are telling me its a solenoid or sensor. I really need to know before i spend a lot of money. I took it to a guy to connect it to a device that tells you the problem in codes, he did not give me the code , he just told me it was something with the transmission. Did not tell me if it was a sensor or anything.. (he might want to rip me off cus i dnt know him) PLEASE HELP!!!!
