I drive a 2001 Honda Civic coupe.
I had a remote control that locks/unlocks my car, and about a month ago, it stopped working (as in when I hit the button, it makes the noise of the door locking/unlocking, but physically, the lock is not locking/unlocking), so I resort to just locking/unlocking manually with the key.
Just a week ago, the switch on the inside of my car stopped working (the switch on the driver side where you can lock/unlock doors), so now, I really have to do all the work MANUALLY.
Now its really no big deal , its just a pain to have to bend over to unlock/lock the passenger door and at times, if the passenger forgot to lock the door, I'll have to go around the car in order to lock it.
Now my question is.....what may the problem be? Someone told me about the actuator going out and that it could be easily fixed.
Also, approx how much would it cost.
