every time we turn it on it will take a few seconds to get anything oon the screen after we start the truck, then it will say cd error and it wont play any cd's, it is the 6cd changer in a 2001 ford f-250 with the diesel if that affects anthing. this is the second time it has happened last time we had to bring it to the mechanic for new shocks so he took a look at it and fixed it last time by taking it apart and taking out the cd's, i was wondering if there is a re3build kit of some sort for worn out parts or something, i am really good with electronics so im not afraid to take it apart. would it be better to go to the junk yard and get a different radio? maybe on from a newer truck?
