My 2001 Ford Escape front door driver's side latch won't disengage, so that the door now won't close. The inside latch on the door seems to be jammed. Because it's not in the "open" position, it's hitting the bar that it should be attaching to and now it won't close. My remote key lock doesn't do anything, nor does using the key by inserting it into the lock. Is it on safety lock? Any ideas how to "unjam" this??
