I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus that squeaks when I put it in gear. It only squeaks when I'm stopped, starts as I come to a stop. The squeaking goes away when I speed up. It's also kind of a rattling noise with the squeaking. Sounds like it's coming from underneath of the car, but cannot pin point the location. The car runs, shifts, and drives perfectly normal. Noise started a couple of days ago. Transmission repair man doesn't think it's an internal problem. I'm guessing a tranny mount or some kind of bearing or gasket. I also just replaced the timing belt and pulleys a few months ago. Any suggestions, or has anyone had this problem before?
