2001 dodge neon engine dosnt turn off when key is in off position. key comes

out but engine still on.? have to jiggle alot and get lucky for it to turn off any ideas?
 
you need to repalce the ignition switch on it,when they get worn down they,ll do that,also if you have another key try that sometimes an after market key will cause that too happen,i go two extra ones cut for mine and it started doing the same thing,to keep from having future problems from it though id just repalce the switch with new keys and be done with it,good luck.
 
sounds like the ignition switch is bad..the only thing to do is replace it and have it coded to the key you have now otherwise you will have 2 keys. Shop around you may be able to get it done chaper then the dealer
