...wont start any help? i bought the car already knowing it needed a battery an ignition switch. when i try to start the car nothing is happening no clicking noise or anything but all the lights and radio an all that come on..

i had the battery checked to make sure its not anything draining it an they said the battery is fine. now when we changed the battery out it worked fine. so i drove it a day and it went out again. so we changed the terminal today.. it started fine so i turn it off after about 2 mins and check it again. i get it home and park it. sat idle for a few mins and turned it off. tried to start it after about 5 mins and its not starting again i'm guessing if i try it again in about an hr its gonna start.

i could be wrong but to me seems like its only doin this when the car get hot. under the engine it does get pretty hot like even the oil dip stick handle is like burning hot.
serious responses only please
i just tried it in neutral an still not starting so i will get that switch fixed to see if it works thanks..
o an also i lifted the hood and it had a noise kinda like how when the tv is on mute u can still hear its electrical hum.. is that normal or part of the issue? or am i digging too deep?

you might want to check the neutral safety switch on that one, when they go bad they worn allow the starter to engage at all an that will cause the problem your having on that car,its either that or it isn't going all the way in to park, try starting it in neutral and see if that works if not you need neutral switch on it,good luck.edit, you need to disconnect the battery on it if your hearing that sound it may be a starter relay shorting out on it,and that could cause problems, good luck
