2001 dodge Durango 4.7 engine- the day prior to our problem the check guage light came on. When we started the vehicle the following day the light did not come on. The next day on her way home from church, my sister's durango lost all steering and braking. The car finally came to a stop on the side of the road. We couldn't get it to start back up, so a neighbor pulled it to our home. Our mechanic did a system check, and it read "speed sensor". He felt like it was actually a crank sensor since it wouldn't crank. We picked up a crank sensor and it kinda helped, but not really.
