this is my 1st 4x4 and i thought it would be ok to put different sized tires on my truck till i could afford the other 2, (front275 75 r15) & (back225 75 r15). about a km from the shop i couldn't get it to switch from 4x4 to 2x4 & it was jerking from left to right as well as making a grinding noise. when i was able to pull over i looked underneath, there was a thick gray liquid dripping slowly & smoke, as well as a smell of something burning/melting. when i put it in drive again it went into 2x4 but still made noise & wouldn't drive straight. so i bought the matching tires 225 75 r15 and had them put on.. but it still shakes & makes metal on metal noises in 2x4, & in 4x4 it makes even more grinding noises. i cannot afford to take it to the shop again so i would like to fix it myself.. where should i start.
