I just bought a 2001 Chrysler Town and Country with 103,000 miles and drove and ran good test driving it and to our house but when we got here parked it in our driveway which is kinda steep and when we went to drive it again to go smoewhere backing up started jerking and didn't want to go but when finally got on the road it did fine .So i backed it in the driveway where i could pull out forward it does the same thing just wondering what this could be ..It's a 3.8 v6 awd Thanks to all

that make and model is notorious for transmission problems... get rid of it, or you will end up putting big money into something that will never be fixed right... some cars are just junk... sorry, this is the truth...

hAVE YOU CHECKED THE FLUID LEVEL? With the engine running in park on flat ground. It sound like it is not picking up the fluid. This can also be due to a dirty filter. This can be taken care of with transmission service and new filter. The mechanic can tell you if he see anything wrong. Such as metal pieces in the oil pan.
