2001 Chrysler Sebring Starter Fuse Keeps Blowing.?

I have a 2001 Chrysler Sebring. Yes, I'm aware of their wiring problems, but I'm also a mom on a fixed budget....so hoping someone will take time to really help me. I have a lot of common sense in taking things apart, even computers, etc....so I'm hoping someone can teach me how to check wiring in my car.

The problem......
When I go turn my key, in the ignition....the starter fuse pops. Every else is fine...it is just that 1 fuse to kick the car into starting up.

It has been getting worse.

I've read on the internet that it may be a loose wiring problem. Fact is, I've tried to learn on how to check this out, and there is nothing that tells me where to look.

I understand where the fuse box is. I know general parts of a car. I've got the car running, and flicked all the wires I can see with my fingers to see if something will happen to narrow it down.

But, perhaps this is a wire I can't see?

Just in case, when this started up, some on the internet say it is a solinode..others say it is my starter going bad...I took it to the mechanic, they are unsure of the cause. So please do not suggest I go to mechanic. They don't know, and pepboys will even charge me 80 bucks for nothing.

So, what I'd like to do, is start from testing the wires. I'd appreciate it if someone can help me.

Just in case, my email for Yahoo answers is [email protected].

Thank you dearly.
