My husband got an 01 s10 4.3 automatic. The check engine light is on and we took it to auto zone, and they said it's the secondary air injection system fault. Does anyone know what this could be? Probable causes could be circuit relay or fuse open, check connection and wiring or air pump defective or hose blocked. They did one of those check engine scans. My husband has already changed the air filter and a pcv vowel, but it keeps coming back on. We have to have it MD inspected within 30 days before the tags expire and my husband is leaving for the military in less than two weeks.
