ok i've had my car almost a year now. the car hasnt been tuned up since ive had it and i have put 30k on it so far... i know BAD. but anyways
the past 2-3 weeks my car has been acting up it started cranking more than usual when starting (almost like its not gonna start) but it always did sometimes i would have to press the gas to keep it running while in park but once it was on it was fine. but last week one day my car just wouldnt start like it was dead but everything worked the lights, horn, raido...everything but when turning the key no noise no clicking no cranking nothing just wouldnt go. then later that night i tried starting it again and it started up with a jiggle of the shifter thing (not a standard) not sure if i did anything by jiggling it but whatever it started. then it started fine for a couple days after that no problems just the feeling hat it was going to stahl while idleing or slowing down/stopped (that was going on for 3 or more weeks too) the check engine light has been on since all these problems started but i havent had time to get it checked out i work too much and its hard to get time off. and since im a young girl it would be nice to know what i am talking about a little when i go to a shop so i dont get taken advantage of money wise. i dont know much about cars but im thinking starter, starter solonoid, the netrual saftey switch thingy or my ignition switch... which one do you think it is? or what is it? PLEASE HELP! lol going to the mechanic 1st thing in the morning (if the car starts) i am also afraid that when i take it there it they wont know because it started which would prob mean its the solonoid right? errr so frustrating. thanks for your help!
