2001 Cadillac Seville won't come out of Park?

The steering wheel moves, so it is not a problem with the tires or anything like that.

It takes me hitting the gear shifter (that isn't attached to the steering wheel, but rather in between the two seats near the center console.)

You have a bad BTSI. Brake Transmission Shift Interlock. It will need
