2000 yamaha r6 runs fine in neutral but wont run under load?

I have a 2000 r6 in my mini sprint on alcohol the car in neutral will rev fine to 10,000 or 12,000 rpm but when i put it in gear and get on the track over like 5,500 rpms it wont run does anyone have and suggestions on what to check. and the battery is brand new just put it on there last night. thanks Justin
