I need to know how this problem might affect the car and where the parts are in the engine, a diagram would be nice. Any information on how much to fix, how to check, or anything pertaing to how find and fix the problem. I am very good with my hands and would like to know where to check for the problem.

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry and the Check engine light came on. I went to autozone to get a diagnostics and two codes appeared. P0441 and P0446. One is defined as Evap(Evaporative Emission System) small leak/no flow condition with probable causes:
1.) Defective or loose fuel cap (i checked for cracks or holes/tighten cap)
2.)EVAP canister or hose cracked-not connected
3.)Purge or vent solenoid defective
4.)Vacuum leak at engine
The next one is defined as EVAP(Evaporative Emission System) purge/vent solenoid circuit condition. With Probable Causes:
1.) Purge or vent solenoids defective
2.)Check connector and wiring
3.)Fuel saturated vapor canister
4.)Failed EVAP vent solenoid

Points to the most helpful.

Go to the dealer, buy a canister, install and problem will be solved.A new canister comes with those solenoids.Cost:over 2 hundred bucks, when one of those solenoids cost almost hundred dollars each already. When fill up gas tank, try not to pump more gas after the nozzle clicked stop, over fill will saturate canister and short lived it.
