I have a 2000 toyota 4runner that just turned 150k. Mileage is 50% highway, 30% towing(~1800lbs), 20% offroad for the last 60k.
Within the last 60k, I've gotten the timing belt changed at local toyota dealership. Had suspension changed to ome/kyb, but wouldn't mind a slightly firmer setup. Regular oil changes with synthetic. Diff fluid changes after any significant tow or off roading. Regular tire rotations. Brakes are good.
I think I maintain pretty well, but now that she has 150k, what should I give a closer look at? Driveshaft? I don't have any specific complaints at all. She has been the best truck but perhaps the starter? Should I give it a good brushing at the posts? I'll be adding new lights up front, so perhaps I'll think about the electrical system . Any suggesstions? I dont have an owners manual so if someone does, I'd love to hear what it suggests as well.
