2000 Pontiac firebird Problems?

I started up my car this morning to go to work and turned the headlights on. When i turned the headlights off, they flipped down, and the gear that shifts them down sounded like it kept trying to go, and was making a grinding sound that lasted for 5-8 seconds after the lights were already down. When i got to work i popped the hood to see if there was anything visibly wrong, nothing looked bad so i closed it and locked my car. When i locked my car, the headlights flipped up and down, and made the grinding noise again. I had my dad look at the car during my lunch break, and when he looked under the hood and closed it the alarm started to go off and the lights flipped up and down again, and made the grinding noise. Finally, after lunch i tried to just use my key to unlock and lock the door, and when i locked the door the alarm system went off and the headlights flipped up. When i pressed the panic button on my keypad the alarm went off and the lights flipped down, once again making the grinding noise.

Has anyone ever experienced this or have any idea what is happening? Thanks in advance for any help.
