My 2000 Cougar has a vibration at highway speeds. The mechanic at the Ford dealership said I had a bent wheel. Wheel and tires replaced but vibration is still there. The vibration only happens when I am on the gas and goes away if I come off the gas to let the car coast. I am really frustrated that no one can find this problem. Please help if you can. Thank You, Brad

You could have a bad ball joint, a bad wheel hub, a bad tie rod end or a bad output shaft, wheel bearing issue. Do you feel it in your steering wheel or your seat? In the steering wheel it is front end. In the seat its in the rear so it makes a difference. Does it do it on all roads or just some? Is it when your cruising along or when braking? It could also be a front strut or bushing. you need to go to a shop that specializes in front end work. It may be in the trans too, but less likely
