2000 jeep wrangler automatic transmission problem?

I have never had a problem with my jeep I had tranny fluid changed about 3000 miles ago change did not indicate any problems. My jeep stayed parked in garage for about two weeks. When I decided to go for a ride everything was fine, when I pulled onto the road the jeep would not shift out of first gear. First and reverse works fine. I have tried to shift it with shifter and still nothing. The jeep has 145,000 miles and runs great and is serviced regularly. It will go into 4-high and low, but still doesen't shift into second are third, can anyone help?
 
those model jeeps had a lot of problems with that but just skated having to do recalls....

try resetting the computer by disconnecting the batt and reconnecting it for 8 seconds at a time....do about 6 times.....then try replacing the speed sensor.....
