2000 jeep grand cherokee problems?

my brake lights work when I press the brakes with the lights off, but when I turn the headlights on, the brake lights won't work when applied?
I already replaced the brake switch by the brake pedal and the rear light bulbs. anything else I've missed?

the brake lights also run through the turn signal switch.

is the headlight switch attached to the turn signal switch?

if so I would change the switch usually called a multifunction switch

Check your tailights when you turn the headlights on. A bad ground to the rear light sockets can cause such symptoms.
