I have a 2000 Ford Taurus I just purchased from a dealer who refuses to fix the problem for free. Instead of paying someone else to fix it, I would like to do it myself.
The problem: My doors don't lock when I use the remote I have or hit the button inside or when I hit 5 mph. They click and clunk like they're trying to lock, they just don't go down into the lock position. They don't unlock if I push them down and then hit the button either.
Any ideas of how to fix this without taking it into the dealer or a mechanic?
Oh yeah... It's a 4 door car and only the rear passenger's door's power locks work.
