...after reving engine.? The noise comes and goes, but is easiest to replicate in neutral by reving the engine. The noise sounds like a very loud clunk. I took it too an engine shop, they sent me to a transmission place. I am pretty sure its not the transmission. They had it hooked up to a stethoscope and said the noise is coming from the engine pan but not sure what it was. Any ideas what I am looking at? The noise happens in neutral and in gear during idle and driving. Very noticeable noise. Also will feel vibration through the gas pedal on occasion. Any help would be appreciated.
The noise is intermittent, but definitely a clunk sound. The noise level varies, but it is much more of a clunk than a tink.
