2000 ford focus heat motor comes on and off?

i drive a 2000 ford focus and when i start it in the morning the heater fan comes on but then will shut off after a few minutes of driving then come on and now it dont even come on at all and i was thinking could it be a fuse i just have no idea can someone email back please
its a 2000 ford focus and the heater comes on in the morning but then the heater goes off like just dies out but then if i turn the knob on and off it comes on again then goes off but now it wont come on at all could it be a fuse or something?

Your post is a little confusing.... if your talking about the motor cooling fan that's the way it works... if the motor is cooler than the fan temperature setting it doesn't not run don't worry about it unless your motor is over heating. If you talking about the inside heat fan then it sounds like a bad switch.

If this car is high mileage, then it is MOST possible that the contact brushes inside the blower motor have worn out. You would then have to replace the blower motor. When these brushes begin to fial, usually the motor will go on and off when you hit bumps in the road, or pound your fist on the lower dash. Most chain auto parts store will have a replacement motor, not too expensive.
