2000 Dodge Stratus overheating?

2000 Dodge Stratus 2.0L -- Replaced water pump/ thermostat/ engine coolant temp sensor/ check fans and relays/ flushed whole system twice/ replaced presssure cap/ checked heater core/ no oil coolant mix (no sign of head gasket problems) ... no leaks just overheats till it overflows out of resevoir... what else would cause this besides possible a faulty part like the Thermo. or pressure cap????
when i did the water pump we replaced timing originally was off 1 tooth already adjusted no problems with timing.. car is super picky about that :) thermostat was listed as 118 degree book calls for between 110 and 125 ...
all coolant hoses check out... no internal springs and are pretty rigid...
 
if it over heats it cos' it's getting too warm so its either head gasket problem or faulty thermostat or blocked radiator. Does it do it if you run it with no thermostat?
What about faulty coolant hose, collapsed internally?
Is it the correct thermostat?
Is there 2 versions of thermostat? Winter and summer
My classic car can uses anything from a 72 deg stat up to an 88 deg stat, even the book states 88 and 82 but ive found a 77 and a 72 stat will also fit.
Try a good dose of caustic soda in the cooling system, about a cup full will do and run it till it gets warm but not overflowing let it cool and run it again so it dont over heat, then drop the bottom radiator hose. Flush through with clean water and re-fill with anti freeze
DO NOT get the hot liquid on yourself as it IS corrosive, it burns so wear glasses and gloves.
It WILL strip tar from tarmac and remove paint so be careful
 
If coolant is pushing out the coolant recovery reservoir you have one thing left to do: Have an inexpensive *cooling system pressure test done by any private mechanic, new car dealer or radiator shop. This test will find external or internal coolant leaks. Your description sure sounds like a head gasket or crack in one of the combustion chambers that leads to the water-jacket in the cylinder head.

You have covered all the bases you possibly can except one important thing. Someone along the line may have mixed antifreeze chemical types and the radiator cross tubes may be loaded with a brown muddy residue. Did you use Prestone Super Radiator Cleaner or an acid cleaner? All other types of five minute flushes and cleaners are pretty much a joke when it comes to cleaning filthy cooling systems.
